What it is
Lumo for Mac wraps Proton’s Lumo AI chat in a native macOS window with a proper menu bar, keyboard shortcuts, a find bar and full-screen support. Logins persist between launches, only Proton pages load inside the app, and external links open in the default browser.
It is open source and distributed through GitHub releases, with an update check that only runs when you ask for it. It is an independent project and not affiliated with Proton AG.
Why it exists
Lumo runs in a browser tab, which is easy to lose among other tabs. A dedicated Mac app keeps it one shortcut away, with tracker blocking on by default and no telemetry, analytics or tracking of its own.
